CREATIVE JOY
Those who feed us deserve creative joy.
Creative expression is an essential part of being human. Art connects one to community, allows one to explore oneself, and to heal. Past creative joy projects include: free arts workshops, art supply drives, youth art mentorships, and an on-going book drive.
One Thousand Books for One Thousand Dreams
“"We selected these works in an effort to show children themselves as the main character in their own story. We wanted to select inclusive works, from the fantastical to the grounded, written by Black, Indigenous, and Latine authors. We believe that it is vital for children to be exposed to as many different realities and possibilities so they can dream their biggest dreams." -Quetzie Taborga-Reyes, WashMasks Volunteer and book-list curator
Our goal is to gather one thousand new books for each rural community we partner with thus keeping this book drive going year-round. You can view and purchase a book from our wishlist via Bookshop. All profits go to benefit Estelitas Library.
