Nuestra Casa’s Community Garden

Calling all plant parents! Nuestra Casa’s garden returns for a second year, as a way to provide food access and a community third space for farmworkers and others in the Lower Yakima Valley.

They have asked the community to help them in gathering plant starts, tools, and gardening supplies. All donations can be dropped of on Saturday, April 10 & Sunday, April 11 from 10:00am-1:00pm at C&P Coffee Company (5612 California Ave SW).

REQUESTED PLANT STARTS: jalapeño, tomato, pinto beans, bush beans, cucumber, corn, strawberry, basil, thyme, rosemary, epazote, hierbabuena (peppermint), cilantro, lavender, sunflowers, nasturtium, chamomile, marigold

REQUESTED TOOLS & SUPPLIES: soil, compost, wheelbarrow, large pots, garden gloves for youth & adults, extra long hose, a bistro table set, or gardening tools
