BOOK DRIVE

Those who feed us deserve dignity & creative joy.

A city-wide book drive for migrant youth.

For the remainder of 2025, WashMasks is partnering with various independent book stores in bringing new books, comics, and zines to migrant youth across rural Washington. You can participate by visiting one of these local bookstores in person or visiting their virtual wishlist.

Please check store hours and be kind to staff whose cooperation makes this donation drive possible.

Participating Bookstores:

Charlie's Queer Books, 465 North 36th, Seattle, WA 98103

Queen Anne Book Company, 1811 Queen Anne Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109

Open Books: A Poem Emporium, 108 Cherry Street , Seattle, WA 98104

“We selected these works in an effort to show children themselves as the main character in their own story. We wanted to select inclusive works, from the fantastical to the grounded, written by Black, Indigenous, and Latine authors. We believe that it is vital for children to be exposed to as many different realities and possibilities so they can dream their biggest dreams." -WashMasks volunteer

Our goal is to gather one thousand new books for each rural community we partner with thus keeping this book drive going year-round via our Bookshop wishlist, all profits go to benefit Estelitas Library.
